Coaching Services
In Coaching for Life Balance, we will discover your individual values and clarify steps that will help you to order your life around those values. We'll work on time management and overcoming the obstacles that can affect our use of time. We'll also seek to discover the vision that arises out of those values - your God-given purpose.
Through Transitions Coaching, we'll recognize the emotions of the grieving process and work to obtain closure to the divorce experience. We'll discuss tangible ways of dealing with these emotions, as well as practical steps that can be taken to deal with the tremendous life changes associated with divorce.
About Coaching
"Coaching is the art and practice of guiding a person or group from where they are toward the greater competence and fulfillment that they desire."
~ Gary R. Collins, PH.D.
Coaching ...
- is a collaborative partnership between the coach and person being coached.
- involves dialogue rather than advice giving, discipline, or therapy.
- is built on trust, integrity, self-discipline, and accountability.
- is results-oriented, focused on reaching goals.
- discusses weaknesses and obstacles but emphasizes strengths and positive changes.
- assumes that people are resourceful and able to set goals and reach them.
- lets person being coached define and move toward their goals with God's help and the coach's guidance.
- helps people reach their peak performance.
- assumes that life is integrated: We can't assume that someone's work, family life, personal history, spirituality, or lifestyle can be put into neat but separate compartments.
- embraces change as something that is always occuring, sometimes confusing, often positive, and usually growth producing.
