About KathyAs a former wife of 16 years and a mother of two beautiful children, I understand that when faced with divorce and its aftermath, there is a tremendous sense of loss, pain, and grief. The healing process can take much longer than we ever anticipated, and we tend to feel as though we have been placed on an endless treadmill with nothing but a "to-do" list and a sense of failure, and no hope of ever experiencing the same joy that was once ours. I've lived this experience in the worst way. I forgot who I was in Christ, struggled with retaining my individual identity, lost my sense of purpose, and lost my joy. As a military wife, my divorce experience was complicated. At the time of my separation and impending divorce, I was not only separated from my husband, but also separated from everything that was familiar. Due to a military assignment, I had to leave my home in one part of the country to live on the opposite side of the country. My losses were greatly multiplied. I was away from my family, my friends, my church and everything I had come to know and call home, all while dealing with the loss of my husband and the father of my two small children. I eventually made my way back across the country to the state from which I had been forced to leave, and then, I was thrust back into the work force after being a stay-at-home mom for many years. I can tell you with certainty that God was with me every step of the way on this journey, which has now spanned over a decade, and I can tell you that God is with me today in new ways as I seek his will for my life on each new day! It is through my own experience with a life coach and through the Master Christian Life Coach (MCLC) program at PCCCA that I have found my purpose in life, and God is "restoring my joy" in ways I have never thought possible! My passion is helping women of divorce lead the abundant life that Christ came to give us. I have a passion for families and family issues, and have worked with a family policy service in my state. I have also worked with women as the facilitator of a DivorceCare Support Group at my church. God has taken my life and my brokenness and turned it around for His purposes. He has turned my mourning into dancing. He has restored the joy of my salvation. He promises that His plans for me are good and not evil, that I might have a future and a hope in Him. God is not a respector of persons. What He has done for me, He will do for you. My hope is that you will allow me to help you on your journey to joy and fulfillment, through coaching that is Christ-centered and client driven. My prayer for you is that God restores your joy, your life, your hope! "You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy." ~ Psalm 16:11 (AMP) Code of EthicsI will maintain the highest standards of personal integrity and Christian values in all coaching relationships with respect to the following:
